Cut paper collage arts by MORGANA WALLACE

Wallace's inspiration grew for cut paper works during a monotype session in printmaking class which made her interested in trying out compositions of wallpaper cuts and other various textured materials

Being extreemly experimental and creative, she works out her magic with a cutting board, an exacto knife, stonehenge paper, water colours, gouache, pencil crayons and many other found piece lying around her.

“Stonehenge paper works the best for me because it is very durable and comes in a variety of shades. I use Japanese linen paper because it has nice texture, and Canson thin card stock for hair as it is easily malleable.”

She uses prismacolour and AD Chart pack graphic markers to achieve shading or gradient effects on the papers.
With the use of foam board she introduces layering and creates shadows
She also use a pentel brush pen #101 and the prismacolour/AD Chart mentioned
Her collage works are currently exclusively selling and presently located at Madrona Gallery in Victoria BC. Read more
